Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Sednara mobile application, the website at sednara.com, and any related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Vellum Studio (the “Studio”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@sednara.com.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Important. Sednara is a reflective tool, not a fortune teller. Oracle readings are written for self-reflection and entertainment. They are not predictions, and they are not a substitute for medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice. If something in your life needs professional help, please seek it.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use Sednara, matching the App Store age rating for the app. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity that occurs under your account.
One account per person. You may not share an account.
You may delete your account from the You tab at any time. Deletion is permanent.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Subscriptions

Sednara offers auto-renewing subscriptions for premium features. Pricing is shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies. We do not directly issue refunds for App Store purchases.

Oracle credits

Oracle credits are consumable in-app purchases that grant access to additional Oracle readings beyond your subscription allowance.

Credits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no monetary value outside the Service.
A credit is consumed when an Oracle reading is generated, whether or not you read it.
Unused credits remain attached to your account for as long as your account is active.

4. Use of the Service

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where local law expressly allows it.
Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Service.
Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person.
Submit content to the Oracle that is unlawful, abusive, or designed to manipulate or jailbreak the AI service.
Use the Service for any commercial or resale purpose without our written consent.
Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to access another user’s account.

5. Oracle readings — disclaimer

Oracle readings are generated using the Anthropic Claude API. The text reflects the patterns in your chart data and the question you ask. The Oracle:

Is offered for self-reflection and entertainment.
Is not a prediction of future events.
Is not medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice.
Should not be used as a substitute for professional advice or care.
May, like any AI-generated text, contain inaccuracies or interpretations you disagree with.

Section 3 of the Privacy Policy explains exactly what data is sent to Anthropic when you use the Oracle. You can revoke AI consent at any time in the app’s settings.

6. Intellectual property

Our content

The Service — including the app, the chart wheel, the Oracle interface, written prompts, illustrations, and code — is owned by Vellum Studio and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Your content

You retain ownership of the birth data and questions you submit. By submitting them, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to process that content as described in the Privacy Policy — including transmission to the Anthropic Claude API — solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Generated readings

Reading text generated by the AI service is made available to you for personal use. You may not republish, resell, or use it to train competing AI systems.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Supabase, Anthropic, Apple, RevenueCat (when integrated), and Cloudflare. Their availability, terms, and changes are outside our control. We are not responsible for outages or changes in third-party services, though we will do our reasonable best to keep the Service functional.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or place us in legal or security risk.
Sections that by nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, intellectual property, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Oracle readings will be accurate, useful, or applicable to your situation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vellum Studio and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. Where that is the case, they apply to the maximum extent the law permits.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vellum Studio from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and update the “Last updated” date above before the changes take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of Lithuania, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
